ONE Arts

We are excited to welcome Ashley to the ONE Arts Center! Ashley will be teaching After School Art on Thursdays with Mikayla!

Ashley earned her BFA degree in 2018 at Johnson State University and recently earned her MAT degree in Art Education at Saint Michael’s College. Ashley has worked as an early educator for two years and recently started teaching at the ONE Arts Community School in Colchester. Her favorite part of her role in education is building strong relationships with the children she teaches and getting to know the qualities and characteristics that make them who they are. She loves building her passion for art into the curriculum she creates. In her free time she enjoys working on her personal artwork, which consists of acrylic painting and photography. Aside from working on art she loves paddle boarding on the lake, spending time with my friends, running and especially snuggling with her cat Mocha.

We are educators and community builders. We offer after school art classes and camps at our ONE Arts Center for elementary school students and we also have 2 early learning programs for infants through PreK. Our programs ground themselves in a collaborative approach, seeking to engage on issues of social justice and radical acceptance. We are committed to building a community that is based on love and understanding, to bringing families together through art to explore themes of sustainability, compassion, and service to others.
