Mikayla was born and raised in Vermont. She previously worked at TW Wood Art Center in Montpelier where she taught after school art and summer camps. She has ten plus years of experience working with kids in all different settings. She earned a BFA in Studio Arts at Johnson State College in 2018 and received a MFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Painting and Sculpture at NVU-Johnson in 2020. Mikayla loves to paint, make installation art, craft, travel and play tennis. She believes that art is just as much about the process as the finished product and with that in mind everyone can be an artist as long as they have fun producing it. Her greatest hope is that she can inspire kids as much as they inspire her with their spectacular imaginations.
Mikayla will be teaching after school art on Mondays with Becca as well as Wednesdays with another assistant and she will also teach camps occasionally.
